At the February meeting if you can please put your name next to the item it would be appreciated, and then remember to bring it to the meeting in March. Every piece of fabric has been donated by our members. Fabric remnants are all from homemade items: bridesmaid dresses, curtains and dresses for granddaughters and a bag made at denman. Repurposed items: step Dads shirts, scarfs including a wool one and quilting squares. All buttons from members button boxes. Resulting in one up cycled cushion

WI Centenary Page
In November 2017 the craft group created a page representing our group to be added to the WI centenary book that will go on display at various locations as its travels around the UK. All members of the Bexleyheath and Crayford Waterside contributed using their fingerprints as leaves on the tree.

WASTE NOT WANT NOT RE-USE WORKSHOPS 2017
Bexley Council is running a series of workshops in 2017. These include upcycling of textiles, furniture and Love Food, Hate Waste, Cookery Workshops. For dates and further details go to www.bexley.gov.uk/reuseworkshops

COMMEMORATING ONE HUNDRED YEARS OF THE WI
In October 2014 our WI requested permission to plant 100 daffodil bulbs in the spring garden of historic Hall Place, Bourne Road, Bexley. Permission was readily given and, on a chilly but dry day in October, we planted the bulbs.
